At Osh State University, significant efforts are being made under the project titled “Research on Disability: Creation of a Virtual Platform (Website) for Information and Advisory Support for Youth with Disabilities, and Publication of Articles in Scopus-indexed Journals.” The project, funded by an internal grant from the university totaling 1,082,000 soms, aims to address the needs of youth with disabilities and enhance their access to information and support services.

Faculty members from the Department of Social Work are actively involved in the project's implementation, collaborating with students to ensure its success. During the initial phase, conducted from March 11 to March 31, organizational activities were conducted in the Osh, Jal-Abad, and Batken regions, alongside a survey involving 121 respondents. The survey will continue until June 30, 2024, under the supervision of Kunduzkhan Karimova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Social Work within the Faculty of History and Social Work at Osh State University.

Presently, a questionnaire survey is being conducted among young people with disabilities, as well as their parents and potential employers. This study aims to gather essential information about the needs and aspirations of individuals with disabilities concerning education and employment opportunities.

The overarching goal of the project is to promote inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education while expanding lifelong learning opportunities for all members of society.
