Osh State University is a classical research university focused on obtaining and disseminating advanced knowledge and information, ensuring the integration of the educational process and training the intellectual elite of society based on fundamental research and innovative methods in fulfilling its historical mission aimed at preserving and enriching the spiritual values of humanity.

Postgraduate and doctoral studies is one of the structures of the University, created by the rector’s order (No. 4062-ФХД dated 09/23/2023) for the training of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers.

Its mission is to train qualified researchers who meet international standards and the requirements of modern science and are able to conduct independent scientific research in various directions.

The main purpose of the postgraduate and doctoral studies department is to train highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff in accordance with the mission and strategic aims of Osh State University, integrating into the international scientific space.

The task of the department is to form appropriate general professional, managerial, cultural and social competencies by involving graduate and doctoral students in science, exchanging views on the results of scientific research in fundamental and applied fields, participating in scientific discussions, expressing and defending their views and the ability to work with foreign grants in scientific work.

Postgraduate studies are carried out in full-time and part-time forms, and doctoral studies are implemented in full-time, and the using of distance learning technologies is also allowed.

The duration of the postgraduate educational program is 3-4 years, and the basic PhD/profile doctoral program is at least 3 years.

Teachers and researchers can visit 310 universities in 33 countries with which the University has concluded contracts and cooperation agreements for training, short- and long-term research internships and scientific and pedagogical practices.

The postgraduate school and classical doctoral studies carries out recruitment in 101 specialties in 15 scientific fields. Currently, more than 250 graduate students are studying and conducting research. And the doctoral program accepts 7 directions.
