At the suggestion of Professor Taasilkan Jumabaeva, vice-rector for external and distance education at Osh State University, a seminar titled “The role of electronic resources in distance education” was organized on May 18, 2023. The seminar’s goals were to raise the standard of online learning, demonstrate the usefulness of electronic resources, and develop specialists in line with contemporary demands. Issues with lecturers using electronic textbooks for instruction, research, and learning were also covered.

Additionally, K. Abdimitalip uulu, the deputy dean of the Faculty of MIT for external and distant learning, and Sh. Omorov, the winner of the “Best lecturer” competition in the use of distance technologies for the 2020–21 academic year, shared their experiences. In keeping with the demands of the period, the seminar was conducted using a hybrid system. A QR code was used to register participants, and students also had the option to join online through Google Meet. The workshop attendees suggested implementing a hybrid system by responding to an online survey and converting to a single platform for external and distance education instruction in accordance with existing needs.
