On April 13, Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov received guests led by project coordinator Alexander Skaliy, Polish oncologist Witold Kowalski, and onco-dermatologist Mikhail Klag. During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of the project titled “Polish experience in breast cancer prevention among youth in Kyrgyzstan” and considered issues related to expanding cooperation in the fields of education and medicine.

During the meeting, Alexander Skaliy was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of OshSU for his contribution to the development of Poland–Kyrgyzstan cooperation.

Afterward, the event continued in the university’s main conference hall. Presentations were delivered on the project results, its significance, and implementation process. Representatives of the oncology service of Osh city and university specialists participated in the meeting and presented information on the work carried out over the past eight months. A representative of the Polish-American Foundation, Sylwia Gawojnik, joined the event online.
