Teacher-led team wins Kyrgyzstan
The Osh city team in Toguz Korgool, coached by Mirbek Rakhmanov, a teacher, was named the champion of Kyrgyzstan.
From February 15 to 22, the Kyrgyzstan Championship in Toguz Korgool and the selection tournament for the VI World Nomad Games and World Championship were held in Bishkek. School students and university students from across the country participated. During the event, Rakhmanov not only led his team as a coach but also performed judging duties.
Mirbek Rakhmanov works as a senior lecturer at the Interfaculty Department of Physical Education No. 1 of the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies. Since 2015, he has been coaching the Osh city team.
Among his trainees are athletes who have won prizes at international and Asian-level competitions. Rakhmanov also advises the university’s girls’ and boys’ teams.
