On February 23, Defenders of the Fatherland Day was celebrated with special festivity at Osh State University. The event was opened by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Ularbek Moldoyarov, who emphasized that defending the Motherland is not only about bearing arms and guarding borders, but also about caring for one’s family, serving society with integrity, and contributing to the future of the state.
As part of the celebration, a concert program was organized. Deans and deputy directors responsible for educational affairs performed the song “Ataganat desechi.” Members of the Women’s Council presented a musical performance titled “Kyrgyzymdyn Jigitteri,” and the event continued in a festive and entertaining atmosphere. More than one hundred participants of the Batken events and the Afghan-Tajik war, as well as university lecturers and staff members, were awarded prizes and certificates of appreciation. Winners of the billiards tournament were also honored.

The winners were awarded cash prizes, valuable gifts, diplomas, and cups by the Osh State University Trade Union. At the end of the evening, Trade Union Chairman Absamat Sattarov expressed his gratitude to the university staff.
