Seminar on "Internationalization of Education"

Lecturers of the Faculty of World Languages and Cultures Gulzat Aipova, Burulcha Koilubaeva, Nargiza Namatova and Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Citizens and Consular Service of Osh State University Semetey Amiraliev are participating in the seminar on the internationalization of the partnership program of the Universities of Central Asia (UniCEN), held in Bishkek. More than 40 representatives of 20 universities of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan take part in the seminar, organized by the international educational organization "American councils".

Azamat Naimanbaev, director of the department of higher, secondary vocational and postgraduate education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, opened the event. Naimanbaev said that internationalization and education export are the most important factors in taking place in the world university rankings.

The two-day seminar's goal is to improve cross-border collaboration between American and Central Asian educational institutions.  Susan Buck Sutton, Olivia Stevens, Carrie Miller, and other American coaches share their experiences in the fields of strategic planning, administration, student mobility, marketing, curriculum development, faculty and alumni support, and give master classes on global joint projects EDGE and COIL.

The “UniCEN” program, funded by the US Embassy, has been operating since 2018.
