Forum on women and youth against smoking
A countrywide women's forum titled "Women and youth against smoking" was held by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, the Association of Republican Women's Council, the UN World Health Organization, and OshSU.
Participants in the forum included women in various fields, social activists, students, and Zhyldyz Artykova, vice-rector of OshSU for work with the student community. Representatives from the business, IT, medical, sports, and media industries all spoke at the forum and shared their experiences.
The goal of the event is to improve women's and young people's knowledge and awareness of the dangers of cigarette and nicotine usage. At the meeting support for a smoke-free atmosphere and the encouragement of a healthy lifestyle among students were also covered.
