On October 22, the inter-institute and inter-faculty sports games for first-year students began at Osh State University.
The competition will run until October 30. Students will compete in eight sports: volleyball, mini-football, basketball, athletics, chess, toguz korgool, table tennis and ordo. Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov attended the opening ceremony. He encouraged students to focus on sports alongside their studies and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
At the end of the competition, the winners will be announced and awarded diplomas, cups and cash prizes. The best athletes will also be selected for the university’s team.
The sports games are organised annually by the OshSU Sports Club. The aim is to increase students’ interest in sports, promote a healthy lifestyle and strengthen friendship among young people.
