Second-year tourism students from Osh State University (OshSU) visited tourist and recreational areas as well as historical and cultural sites in Jalal-Abad Region.
The trip was organised as part of their autumn field practicum in recreational geography. The students visited scenic natural areas such as Arslanbob, Sary-Chelek, Kara-Kamysh, and Padish-Ata, and learned about the Safed-Bulan and Shah Fazil mausoleums.
The main objectives of the practicum were to reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical experience, study tourism and recreational resources on site, develop skills in organising tourist routes, and assess the region’s tourism potential.
According to the organisers, such field trips help improve the professional competencies of future tourism specialists, introduce them to Kyrgyzstan’s natural wealth and historical and cultural heritage, and contribute to the development of sustainable tourism.
