On May 14, representatives of China’s education and logistics sectors paid an official visit to Osh State University.

The delegation included Yu Haixiang, Rector of Tianjin Transport Vocational Institute, Wang Xiaokuo, Director of the Institute of Logistics Engineering, Tang Zhaoxi, Director of the International Cooperation Department, and others.

During the meeting with Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in transport, logistics, digital technologies, and vocational education. They also talked about implementing joint educational programs and introducing modern technologies into the learning process.

The Chinese “Luban Workshop” project was also presented during the meeting. This is an international platform in the field of technical and vocational education aimed at developing engineering technologies, IT, logistics, robotics, and industrial automation. The Chinese side expressed interest in cooperating with OshSU on this project. If supported, the initiative would help establish modern laboratories, train specialists, and improve the qualifications of teachers with the assistance of the Chinese side.

Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov noted that such international cooperation would contribute to improving the quality of education, training modern specialists, and strengthening scientific and educational ties between Kyrgyzstan and China.

It should be noted that the Confucius Institute has been operating at OshSU since 2013. The institute trains specialists in Chinese studies, linguistics and philology, and electronic information engineering. Educational, cultural, and scientific cooperation between OshSU and China is mainly carried out through the Confucius Institute. The institute contributes to strengthening cooperation between universities of the two countries, expanding academic mobility, promoting the Chinese language and culture, and implementing joint educational projects.
