Lecturers of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Osh State University took part in an international training program in South Korea from January 8 to 14.
The purpose of the program was to strengthen cultural exchanges between South Korea and Central Asian countries, improve strategies for attracting foreign students, and expand cooperation between higher education institutions.
The training was attended by representatives of partner universities, educational agencies, and teachers of Korean and English languages. From Osh State University, the institute’s director, Olzhobai Shaimkulov, as well as lecturers and department heads participated.
Since 2021, Osh State University has been training specialists in the Korean language. Today, the university cooperates with a number of leading South Korean universities, including Hanbat, Gwangju, Hanyang, Pai Chai, Andong, Kyungil, Dongguk, and Jeonbuk universities.
The event was hosted by Kangwon National University (KNU) and organized by the KNU Global Talents Network Center.
