Results of the 33rd Spartakiad Announced

On December 29, the results of the 33rd Spartakiad among the teaching staff and employees of Osh State University were officially announced, followed by an award ceremony for the winners.

Teams representing the rector’s office, institutes, faculties, and colleges took part in the Spartakiad in two age categories: under 40 and over 40. The competitions were held on weekends throughout December.

Participants competed in eight sports disciplines: volleyball, basketball, football, mini-football, table tennis, toguz korgool, tug of war, and chess.

According to the overall team standings, the winners were:

1st place – Institute of Economics, Business and Management;
2nd place – STEM Innovation College;
3rd place – Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Information Technology.

The award ceremony was attended by the Rector of Osh State University, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee Absamat Sattarov, and members of the academic community. The winning teams were awarded diplomas, cups, and cash prizes. The total prize fund of the Spartakiad amounted to 240,000 soms.

The Spartakiad is traditionally held every year with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical education, and sports among university staff.
