An international workshop focused on developing a master’s degree program in cybersecurity for the digital labor market of Central Asia was held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
Osh State University was represented at the event by Ulukbek Erkebaev, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Applied Informatics and Information Security, and Erasmus+ project coordinator. During the workshop, he presented an overview of the growing need for cybersecurity professionals in Kyrgyzstan and shared Osh State University’s experience in training specialists in information security and applied informatics.
Special attention was given to practice-oriented education, including laboratory work and hands-on training that allow students to work with real-world cybersecurity cases.
The workshop brought together representatives from universities, research centers, and expert organizations from Central Asia and Europe. Participants discussed current challenges in cybersecurity, innovative teaching methodologies, and the harmonization of academic programs with international standards.
Participation in such events strengthens Osh State University’s international academic cooperation and supports the continuous development of educational programs in line with the needs of the modern digital economy.
