On October 21, the Faculty of International Medicine at Osh State University hosted a festive event dedicated to Diwali - one of the most important holidays in India.

The celebration coincided with the official welcome and initiation ceremony for first-year students. This year, more than 1,000 new students have been admitted to the faculty, the majority of whom are citizens of India.

Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov took part in the event and congratulated the students on the beginning of their academic journey. He expressed his best wishes for their success, growth, and a fruitful stay in Kyrgyzstan.
The celebration featured a vibrant concert program, with students performing traditional Indian songs and dances, as well as showcasing Kyrgyz folk dances — a heartfelt tribute to the local culture. The event was further enriched by the colorful national attire worn by participants, adding a special charm to the festivities.

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. The celebration at Osh State University served as a beautiful example of cultural exchange and unity among students from different backgrounds.
