Faculty members of Osh State University participated in an international scientific conference at Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan, focusing on “Food Security: Global and National Problems.”
The delegation included Khilola Gaforova, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Culture, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies; Associate Professor Oliyakhon Yuldasheva; and Lecturer Fatima Matkerimova.
During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Yuldasheva presented her research on the nutritional characteristics of children in southern Kyrgyzstan. Dr. Gaforova delivered a guest lecture on “Complex Carbohydrates” for undergraduate students specializing in Bioorganic Chemistry.
In addition, Oliyakhon Yuldasheva conducted open practical sessions on “Automation of the Heart,” and Fatima Matkerimova led a class on “Classification and Biological Features of Bony Fish.”
The visit also included meetings to discuss the development of academic and research cooperation between Osh State University and Samarkand State University, with a focus on strengthening professional, pedagogical, and scientific partnerships.
