The Ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan, Nicolas Faye, visited Osh State University on September 30 and met with the Vice-Rector for External Relations, Kursantbek Attokurov. The vice-rector informed him about the university’s activities and achievements, as well as its cooperation with French universities.

During the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, a French Language and Culture Center will be established at Osh State University. The aim is to support students studying the French language by providing them with high-quality educational resources and organizing cultural events aimed at promoting French language and culture.

The center will be opened with the support of the Embassy of France in Kyrgyzstan. The embassy will allocate a special grant for acquiring necessary resources such as renovation and equipment, furniture, IT equipment, educational materials, and student resources. This initiative is being implemented with the support of the Department of International Relations of Osh State University.

Currently, two volunteer teachers from France are teaching students.
