Osh State University Basketball Team Wins Bronze at National Championship
The final stage of the 2024-2025 national basketball championship took place in Osh on June 7-8. Competing for third place, the Osh State University basketball club faced off against the team from Mailuu-Suu and secured the bronze medal.
“The season began in October with 23 teams representing various regions and major cities across Kyrgyzstan,” said head coach Ruslan Mazitov. “Last season, in 2023-2024, our team placed fourth.”
Osh State University player Erlan Mataev was recognized as the tournament’s “Best Defender,” while head coach Ruslan Mazitov received the “Best Coach” award.
