An anonymous survey on drug addiction prevention was conducted among students from six schools in Osh on February 25-26.
The survey was carried out by Dilaram Madaminova, an expert from the project “Fighting Drug Addiction: Developing Measures to Ensure Public Safety in Kyrgyzstan,” along with volunteer students from the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
“So far, we have completed the first stage, which involved providing students with information. The second stage included conducting an anonymous survey. Next, we plan to hold essay and drawing competitions. Ultimately, a round table discussion will take place in April, and educational and methodological manuals will be published,” Madaminova explained.
Project representatives have already conducted awareness sessions in six schools in Osh, along with training sessions in Batken. The initiative is being implemented under the leadership of Amanay Akmatova, an associate professor at Osh State University. As part of the project, scientific research is being conducted to develop effective strategies for preventing, detecting, and treating drug addiction.
