A momentous occasion unfolded at Osh State University as the inauguration of a new Cardiac Surgery Department marked a significant milestone in the institution’s history, coinciding with its 85th anniversary. The ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, and the Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aizhamal Shambetova.

Joining them were eminent scholars and specialists in the fields of cardiac surgery, urology, surgery, cardiology, and endovideo surgery from Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, alongside the academic faculty and students of Osh State University. The event served as a platform for attendees to acquaint themselves with the state-of-the-art facilities of the newly established department, equipped with modern medical equipment.

A noteworthy highlight of the ceremony was the planting of “health saplings” in the department’s garden, symbolizing a commitment to nurturing health and well-being within the community. The establishment of the Cardiac Surgery Department is poised to benefit numerous citizens by offering advanced medical services and fostering the development of highly skilled cardiac surgeons.

Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva emphasized the significance of the new department, highlighting its role in advancing medical education and implementing innovative practices. She commended Osh State University for its professional excellence and international collaboration, underscoring the institution’s commitment to knowledge exchange and advancement.

Currently, these universities are actively pursuing the path of transformation towards universities 4.0. Students not only receive education and scientific skills, but also try to apply them in the production and further commercialization of the product of their activities. In conjunction with the inauguration, OshSU hosted an international scientific-practical conference titled “Current Challenges in Modern Medical Practice Amid New Paradigms: Innovative Technologies in Education and Practice.” Attended by all participants of the Cardiac Surgery Department’s opening ceremony, the conference served as a platform for sharing insights and discussing emerging trends in the medical field.
