Professor Abdurashit Nizamiev's Participation in the Erasmus+ Program Training and Geographic Information Technologies Event
Professor Abdurashit Nizamiev, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agrarian Technologies, took part in an Erasmus+ program training session held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain from December 6 to 10.
The event welcomed representatives from Armenian universities within the framework of the “GeoTAK” project, focusing on advancing interdisciplinary postgraduate educational programs and strengthening research networks in geographic information technologies in both Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. The main goals of the project are to develop postgraduate Higher Education programmes in Geoinformation Technologies (GIT) and strengthening the links in research and innovation between Higher Education Institutions (HEI), industry and administration in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
Professor Nizamiev highlighted discussions around the extensive application of geographic information systems in both educational processes and scientific research during the training. He expressed intentions to disseminate the project's work and related information widely throughout the educational institution.
