Dear teachers, respected mentors and esteemed colleagues!

I sincerely congratulate you on Teachers’ Day, the professional holiday of one of the most noble and sacred professions!

Every profession begins with a teacher. It is a teacher who first guides doctors, engineers, scientists, leaders and creative professionals toward knowledge.

That is why a teacher’s work can never be measured by time. The knowledge they share, the advice they give and the trust they place in their students leave a lasting mark on a person’s life.

Dear teachers working at OshSU!

The 2025–2026 academic year has been a successful one for our university. The special status granted to OshSU continues to open up new opportunities for the university’s development.

OshSU’s position on the international stage is also strengthening. In the QS Asia Rankings 2026, our university ranked 316th among 1,526 universities in Asia and 22nd in Central Asia. OshSU also entered the global top 1,500 universities in the QS Sustainability Rankings. Behind these achievements are your many years of hard work, professionalism and dedication.

We have also made significant progress in science. During the year, OshSU defended 5 doctoral, 39 candidate and 8 PhD dissertations. Hundreds of research papers by our scholars were published in scientific journals indexed in the international Scopus database. New research centers have been established, and important steps have been taken to connect science with industry and innovation. These include the Satellite Analysis and Remote Sensing Center, the Central Asia Critical Minerals Innovation Center, and the Mountain Ecosystem Conservation and Green Innovations Consulting Center.

All of this is aimed at strengthening the “University – Science – Industry – Commercialization” link. The understanding that scientific成果 should serve society and industry is being put into practice at a new level.

Historic achievements have also been made in medical education and clinical practice. At the OshSU Medical Clinic, 8 kidney transplant operations and 5 liver transplant operations have been successfully performed, expanding access to medical services in the southern region. A new, modern seven-story medical clinic is currently being prepared for operation. In the future, this facility will become a major center for education, science and clinical practice.

Special attention is also being paid to expanding digital opportunities in education. The MyEDU platform and the mooc.oshsu.kg portal, which provides online educational resources, are making learning easier for students and creating opportunities to develop individual learning pathways.

Our international partnerships are also expanding. New agreements have been signed with foreign universities, and the number of double-degree programs is growing. Today, our students have opportunities to study and gain experience at partner universities in more than 30 countries around the world.

In cooperation with a Chinese company, the “Future Generation HUB” Robotics Center is also operating. With the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Institute of Science Tokyo, an automated scientific station for continuous monitoring of air quality in Osh has been launched at Osh State University. The station continuously monitors air pollution and automatically collects data. The information obtained will help accurately determine the level of air pollution in Osh and study environmental problems on a scientific basis.

In cooperation with Tianjin Transport Vocational Institute of China, the opening of a Lu Ban Workshop is planned for the new academic year. This international innovation center will train modern specialists in two key areas that are currently in high demand in the country’s labor market:

  • Logistics: Against the backdrop of the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway and Kyrgyzstan’s emerging role as a transit hub, students will be trained in international freight transportation and supply chain management according to global standards.
  • New Energy Vehicles (Electric Vehicles): As part of the transition to a green economy, the program will train modern engineering and technical specialists in electric vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as in working with their high-tech systems.

The achievements of our students are also a great source of pride. They proudly represent our country in science, creativity and sports. Among higher education institutions, the only professional “OshSU” Football Club is successfully competing in the country’s Premier League. The Football Federation has allocated 7 hectares of land to the university, where a modern football academy and a large sports complex will be built. The “University – OshSU” volleyball team became champions of the Higher League, while the women’s team won a prize in the National League. The “BC University OshSU” basketball team is also achieving success in the national championship. To support students, incentive programs such as the Presidential Scholarship, “Citizen Scholarship,” “OshSU TOP–20 Student,” and the Kanybek Isakov Scholarship are being implemented.

At one of the largest national events in youth entrepreneurship, the “Youth Startup Expo – 2026” competition, the Enactus OshSU team of Osh State University won and became the national champion. The team will now represent Kyrgyzstan at the Enactus World Cup 2026, which will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 16–19 this year. With teams from more than 35 countries participating, this prestigious competition is one of the largest international platforms for youth entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development.

All of this demonstrates that, alongside education, our university is creating broad opportunities for students’ scientific, creative and personal development.

Dear teachers!

The achievements of Osh State University today cannot be measured by numbers alone. Behind every successful student, every scientific publication and every new project is your hard work.

In today’s rapidly changing world, the responsibility of teachers has become even greater. Digital technologies, artificial intelligence, new professions and modern educational methods require teachers to constantly learn, innovate and improve. You are at the forefront of these changes, providing the younger generation not only with knowledge but also teaching them to think independently, pursue knowledge, be patriotic and understand their responsibility to society.

I would also like to express my special gratitude to our retired veteran teachers. The educational traditions, academic schools and students you have nurtured form the strong foundation of today’s OshSU.

Dear mentors!

I wish you strong health, family happiness, creative inspiration and new heights in your scientific and educational work. May every lesson you teach be fruitful and every student you mentor achieve success. May your work always be appreciated, and may the young people you have educated and guided continue to be your pride!

I express my deepest gratitude for your great contribution to the development of Osh State University.

Dear teachers and colleagues, happy Teachers’ Day!

May there be peace in our country, prosperity in our land, and unity and success at our university!
