Development of short-term educational programs discussed

At Osh State University, the first meeting of the working group for the “CHEBER: Skills Development in Kyrgyzstan” project was held.

Participants included university and college representatives, teachers, and project coordinators.

Discussions focused on cooperation, upcoming steps, and short-term educational programs for 2026–2027, aiming to develop at least 12 programs, create teaching materials, conduct pilot trainings, and improve curricula.

Labor market needs, employer cooperation, trainer preparation, quality assurance, certification, modern equipment, labs, internships, and graduate employment support were also addressed.

The project is funded by the Swiss government and implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation.
