International Anti-Corruption Day

On December 9 — International Anti-Corruption Day — an assembly was held at Osh State University. The event discussed issues and prospective directions in the fight against corruption in the country.

The meeting was attended by representatives led by Zalkarbek Zholdoshov, Senior Prosecutor of the Osh City Prosecutor’s Office, as well as rectors of OshSU, OshTU, OshTSU, OshSPU, structural unit heads, faculty members, and students.

During the assembly, each higher education institution presented information on the work carried out throughout the year in accordance with the Presidential Decree No. 137 of June 5, 2024, “On the State Strategy for Combating Corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025–2030,” and the Action Plan for the implementation of the strategy.

Ruslan Arapbaev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of OshSU and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, spoke about the work carried out under the “Detailed Action Plan for Preventing Corruption and Dismantling Corruption Schemes at OshSU in 2025.”

The event also included discussions on the causes of corruption and proposals for effective ways to combat it.
