The medical clinic of Osh State University has performed its second successful kidney transplant operation, further strengthening its position as one of the country’s leading organ transplant centers.

On October 17, a 45-year-old resident of Tash-Kumyr underwent a kidney transplant, receiving the organ from her 71-year-old mother. The surgery was performed using a modern laser method, which eliminates the need for additional incisions and significantly reduces harm to the patient’s body.

On October 20, Rector Kudaiberdi Kodzhabekov visited the clinic to monitor the condition of the patients and express gratitude to the medical team for their professional work.

The operation was led by Dr. Beksultan Seitbek uulu, a surgeon at Osh State University, together with invited specialists from Russia. According to the doctors, organ donation at this age is uncommon, as strict medical criteria are applied to ensure the donor’s health and the proper functioning of the transplanted organ.

The clinic performed its first kidney transplant on May 30 of this year. The patient, Sajida Anapiyaeva, a 38-year-old resident of Kadamzhai district (Batken region), successfully underwent the procedure and is now in good health.

This second successful operation highlights the growing expertise and capacity of Osh State University Clinic in performing complex surgical interventions at an international level.
