On June 19, the opening ceremony of the “Peili Workshop” cooperation initiative took place in Baiyin, Gansu Province, China. As part of the event, a trilateral agreement was signed between Baiyin Mining and Metallurgical Vocational and Technical College, Osh State University, and Jiangsu Huibo Robot Technology Company.
The ceremony coincided with the 12th anniversary of China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative. A delegation from Osh State University, led by Vice-Rector Ularbek Moldoyarov, visited modern laboratories and educational-production centers of partner institutions in China. The visit provided a platform for exchanging experiences in joint education and workforce training.
The “Peili Workshop” serves as a model for fostering international collaboration in vocational education. Its mission is to enhance the quality of technical education through the integration of innovation, industry, and academics. The initiative includes the establishment of training centers with advanced equipment, specialized skill development, language instruction, and hands-on industrial training for both students and faculty.
“This project strengthens ties between the youth of our nations and contributes to the training of highly qualified personnel through mutual understanding,” said Moldoyarov. “It is a meaningful step toward educating a new generation of professionals in the field of intelligent manufacturing in Central Asia, and a promising example of university-industry collaboration.”
In addition to the formal agreement, Osh State University and its Chinese partners reached further consensus on cooperation in vocational education, curriculum and standards development, teacher training, creation of foreign language teaching materials, and the promotion of cultural and humanitarian exchange.
