International Poetry Competition Among Students
On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of Osh State University, an international competition among students on the theme "Samat Sundetbayev’s Poetry" was held. The literary evening was organized by the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan and the Center for Kazakh Language and Culture at the Gumilev National University.
General Consul Mukhtar Karibay emphasized the Kazakh-Kyrgyz brotherhood, the similarity of values between the two peoples, the relevance of cooperation between the two countries, and the importance of involving students in cultural studies.
The competition consisted of two stages, including reading poems by Kazakh and Kyrgyz poets and a quiz on the history, culture, and literature of both countries.
At the end of the event, General Consul Mukhtar Karibay presented prizes to the winners.
