
The election for the chairman of the trade union at Osh State University took place today, February 6, with Absamat Sattarov being re-elected for a second term. A total of 165 specially appointed delegates from various university structures participated in the voting.
Absamat Sattarov and Egemnazar Kutpidinov, a lecturer at the Industrial and Pedagogical College, were initially nominated for the position. However, Kutpidinov voluntarily withdrew his candidacy, and the majority of delegates supported Sattarov’s re-election.
During the event, Sattarov presented a report on his work from 2020 to 2025.
Before becoming chairman in 2020, Absamat Sattarov held various roles at Osh State University, including head of the morgue, laboratory assistant, lecturer, senior lecturer, head of the department, and deputy dean for academic affairs at the medical faculty.
