Osh State University Students Win Volleyball Championship
The volleyball team from the “Bilim” educational complex of Osh State University claimed first place in a citywide volleyball tournament among Osh schools.
The competition featured students aged 15 to 17, with around ten school teams participating. The Osh State University team defeated the Osh City Children and Youth Sports School 2:0 in the semifinals and triumphed over Secondary School No. 5 named after Dzhoomart Bokonbaev with a 2:1 score in the final.
This marks the team's first major achievement since the introduction of specialized volleyball classes at the “Bilim” complex earlier this academic year, which led to the creation of the school team.
The team is coached by Talant Zhigitali uulu, a physical education teacher at the lyceum, volleyball expert, and candidate for master of sports.
