OshSU Lecturers Present New Research on the Russian Language in Belarus

Dilyara Madaminova, head of the Department of Methods of Teaching Russian Language and Literature at the Institute of Philology and International Communications of Osh State University, and senior lecturer Chynara Tokurova presented their new research in Minsk. The international conference was held on December 4–10 under the theme “Preserving, Supporting, and Promoting the Russian Language and Culture Abroad.”

In her presentation, Dilyara Madaminova discussed current approaches to supporting Russian language and culture abroad in the context of political and cultural interaction. Meanwhile, Chynara Tokurova delivered a scientific report on the status of the Russian language and culture in Kyrgyzstan, as well as issues related to preserving and promoting Russian in the international context.

The forum gathered scholars from more than 20 countries, where they discussed student motivation, theory and practice, media and social networks, and the development and protection of the Russian language.

The aim of the event was to exchange experience in Russian literature and culture, strengthen international cooperation, and promote the study and preservation of the Russian language abroad.
