Discussion on Writing Scientific Texts in the State Language
An academic meeting titled “The State Language – the Language of Science: Writing Scientific Texts and Academic Literacy” was held at Osh State University.
The event focused on the role of the state language in science, the quality of scientific writing in Kyrgyz, and the development of academic literacy. Scholars, lecturers, language experts, and students participated. Presentations addressed integrating professional Kyrgyz language teaching into academic contexts, challenges in students’ academic writing, and analysis of scientific works published in the state language from 2009 to 2025.
Participants discussed improving Kyrgyz scientific terminology and strengthening the role of the state language in science.
