An event dedicated to Cosmonautics Day was held at Osh State University. During the event, students learned about the key stages of space exploration and the global significance of one of the most important events in human history — the first human flight into space.
Special attention was given to Kyrgyzstan’s contribution to space exploration, particularly the achievements of Salizhan Sharipov, who participated in two space expeditions. The event took place on April 10 at the Russian Language and Culture Center and was organized under the guidance of Venera Surkeeva, a mentor of the Eurasian Pedagogical Council.
According to the organizers, such events help broaden students’ scientific outlook and increase their interest in modern science.
April 12 is celebrated as the International Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics. On this day in 1961, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made the first human flight into space.
