Osh State University recently hosted a guest lecture titled “How Can a Graduate Find Their Niche in Media and PR?” for journalism students. The event featured speakers from Bishkek, including Begaim Maksyutova, head of the Advertising and Public Relations program at Kyrgyz National University; Nurdin Sultanbaev, a lecturer and strategic expert at the same university; and Meerim Artysheva, a PhD from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.

During their visit, the guest lecturers met with Osh State University’s vice-rector for public relations and youth policy, Nurzhamal Mapaeva, as well as faculty members from the journalism department. They also explored the department’s work and the university’s Center for Information and Public Relations. Plans are underway to introduce an Advertising and PR program at Osh State University and to collaborate on organizing the student’s Tulip Festival, a traditional event of the Kyrgyz National University's Faculty of Journalism.

The initiative aimed to enhance interuniversity collaboration, foster academic partnerships, and strengthen cooperation in education and research.
