Professor Baibolot Abytov Participates in International Conference
On September 24–25, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Greater Altai – Homeland of the Ancient Turks” was held in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Baibolot Abytov, Head of the “Oriental Manuscripts and Heritage” Fund at the Institute of Oriental Studies of OshSU, Professor and Doctor of Historical Sciences, participated in the conference and delivered a presentation titled “Turkic and Nomadic Civilizations: Formulation of the Issue and the Relationship Between the Concepts.” In his presentation, the scholar highlighted the historical and cultural characteristics of Turkic and nomadic civilizations and shared his academic perspectives on the subject.
The conference brought together scholars from Russia, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Germany, the United States, Sweden, Mongolia, and other countries. They presented research papers on the history and cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
The participants also exchanged views on the history of Turkic and nomadic peoples, their role in world civilization, the study and preservation of cultural heritage, and new directions in historical research.
