September 15, Knowledge Day events marking the start of the new academic year were held at the lyceum, gymnasium, college, faculties, and institutes of Osh State University.
The events were attended by the heads of the university’s structural divisions led by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, faculty members, and students. The Knowledge Day meetings focused on the goals set for the new academic year, innovations in the educational process, and new opportunities being created for students.
“Education is the fundamental foundation of a country’s development, the future of society, and the success of every individual. Therefore, may the new academic year become the beginning of new goals, new aspirations, and new opportunities for each of us,” said Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov.
The rector also congratulated students who were entering the university for the first time on the beginning of their new student life and encouraged them to receive quality education, gain in-depth knowledge in their chosen profession, and become highly qualified and competitive specialists in the future.
During the Knowledge Day events, students were informed about the university’s internal regulations, the educational process, digital learning resources, and opportunities available to students.
This year, Chinese language and architecture were among the most popular fields chosen by OshSU students.
