WNG: OshSU Scholars Participate in International Conference
On September 3, an international scientific and practical conference titled “Nomadic Civilization: Heritage, Paradigms and Future” is being held in Issyk-Kul as part of the 6th World Nomad Games.
The event brings together scholars, researchers and experts from more than 30 countries. Participants include representatives from Russia, China, Japan, France, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, India, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries.
A delegation of Osh State University scholars, led by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, is also participating in the conference. Baibolot Abytov, Head of the “Oriental Manuscripts and Heritage” Fund at the Institute of Oriental Studies, will deliver a presentation titled “The World Nomad Games – The Olympics of Nomadic Peoples and Civilizations.” He will speak about the historical and cultural heritage of nomadic peoples, their place in world civilization, and the significance of the World Nomad Games.
The international scientific and practical conference focuses on the history, cultural heritage and development prospects of nomadic civilization. The event also aims to strengthen scientific cooperation among scholars from different countries.
The conference is being held at the Kurmanjan Datka Center of Nomadic Civilization in Ornek village, Issyk-Kul Region, as part of the 6th World Nomad Games.
The participants are discussing the history and heritage of nomadic civilization, contemporary academic approaches to its study, and future research directions.
