Osh State University’s 33-Year Experience in Theology Education Discussed in Türkiye
On July 26, a strategic seminar titled “Analysis of the 33-Year Experience of the Faculty of Theology of Osh State University and Development Strategy for the Future” was held in Türkiye.
The event was organized at the headquarters of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation in Ankara. Representatives of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, Ankara University, Osh State University, as well as prominent scholars, took part in the seminar.
During the seminar, lecturers from the Faculty of Theology presented reports on the faculty’s 33-year history, educational experience, academic programs, international cooperation, and future development directions.
During the discussions, Turkish scholars who worked at the faculty at different periods, professors from Ankara University, and representatives of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation shared their views and highlighted the faculty’s achievements and future opportunities.
At the conclusion of the seminar, recommendations were put forward to improve the quality of religious education, expand scientific cooperation, and further develop partnerships between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye in the field of higher education.
The event was jointly initiated by the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, Ankara University, and Osh State University.
For reference: With the support of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, 1,664 Osh State University students have participated in academic mobility programs in Türkiye to date. A total of 807 students have graduated from the Faculty of Theology through these programs. Many faculty members have also pursued master’s and doctoral studies in Türkiye, contributing to the development of the university’s academic and research potential.
