Faculty of Theology Begins Scientific and Cultural Week in Honor of 90th Anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov

In honor of the 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov the Faculty of Theology of Osh State University begins the scientific and cultural week entıtled "We are alive because, remembering the past, we expect the future." Today, December 24, the opening ceremony of the week took place in the conference hall of the Faculty of Theology. The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Theology on Scientific Issues, associate professor and a teacher Aripov Niyazaly led the official part of the event. Vice-Rector of Osh State University for Scientific Issues Kenzhaev Idiris Gulamovich; Deputy Dean of the Theological Faculty Abdulmezhit Islamoglu; Head of the State Language Department, Ph.D., Associate Professor Sharipova Mastura Saypidinovna made a speech at the opening of ceremony. During the event the guest from Turkey, associate professor Vahide Fidan Dogan read her article on the topic “Islamic Symbols and Basics in Chingiz Aitmatov’s novel “The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years” under the atheistic Soviet-era policy”. Also, associate professor, teacher Azhimamatov Zaylabedin read his article on the topic "Theological analysis of religious terminology in the novel "The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years""; Lecturer Zuuridinov Oskon read his article on the topic "Bible passages in the story" Scaffold "". The second part of this event was a concert program prepared by students. Sketches and monologues, prepared specifically in honor of Chingiz Aitmatov, attracted particular attention of the audience. This scientific and cultural week will last until December 28. “Intellectual game” will be held on December 25, “Poetry competition” on December 26, “Documentary film screening” on December 27 and “Awards ceremony” on December 28.
