On November 14, Osh State University organized an informational meeting in honor of World Diabetes Day, aiming to raise awareness about diabetes prevention, early detection, and management.
The event featured Aiperi Asanbek kyzy, nephrologist and lecturer at the Department of Public Health and Evidence-Based Medicine, Faculty of International Medicine, and Ainisa Aitieva, endocrinologist and lecturer at the Department of Hospital Therapy, Faculty of Medicine. Both specialists provided participants with valuable insights into modern methods for preventing and managing diabetes.
During the session, the doctors discussed the causes of diabetes, key risk factors, common symptoms, and effective prevention strategies. Practical demonstrations focused on healthy nutrition, lifestyle habits that promote wellness, and regular monitoring of blood sugar levels. In addition, attendees who signed up on-site had their blood sugar levels measured, allowing them to receive immediate feedback on their health.
The event highlighted the university’s commitment to promoting public health awareness and providing students and staff with practical knowledge for disease prevention.
