Ulugbek Omokeev, a director of cinema Academy of OshSU, a poet, the author of “Jaz jyty”, “Kech kuzdogu suluular”, “Ata-suiuu”, the founder of “Jiger” center became a laureate of literary award named after A. Osmonov. The organizers gave a medal named after A. Osmonov, a diploma and 10 000 soms.

This award was organized by Kyrgyz writers union in 1986. The first laureates of this award were Kyrgyz poets Ramis Ryskulov, Baydylda Sarnogoev.
