      The Department of "Anatomy, Histology and Normal Physiology" as an independent structural unit has been functioning since 2018 after separation from the Department of "Morphological Disciplines" with the support of the then rector of OshSU Isakov Kanybek Abduvasitovich and the decision of the Academic Council of OshSU dated 30.08.2018 protocol No. 800. In turn, the Department of “Morphological Disciplines” was founded on July 6, 2017 on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council of OSH State University Protocol No. 8, after separation from the Department of “Fundamental Theoretical Disciplines and Clinical Disciplines”, formed on August 29, 2015.
      The first head was appointed Sakibayev Kyyalbek Sherikbayevich, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor in the specialty "Human Anatomy". K.Sh.Sakibayev made a great labor and intellectual contribution to the development of the department and led it until September 2021.
      Since October 2021, the department has been headed by Dzholdubaev Sagynbek Dzharkynbaevich, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor in the specialty "Human Anatomy", author of numerous scientific papers. With the arrival of the current head, the material and technical base and the educational and scientific museum-laboratory of the department are significantly strengthened and updated, much attention is paid to educational and methodological work and its improvement, research work is being conducted and developed.The department teaches the disciplines "Human anatomy", "Human physiology", "Human histology", "OSTA","Clinical anatomy of vessels and nerves" for students of 1-2 courses abroad for specialty areas in the specialty 560001 "Medical business".The teaching staff of the department is staffed with specialists with basic specialized education and extensive experience in their activities.The department employs highly qualified teachers, whose staff is represented by 19 full-time teachers and 14 part-time teachers, including 6 doctors of sciences, 10 candidates of sciences, 2 senior teachers, 12 teachers and 3 teaching assistants.
           The staff of the department actively participates in scientific and practical conferences held in our country and abroad, in the countries of the near and far abroad. The staff of the department has been repeatedly awarded prizes, diplomas and certificates of honor.
