On September 30, in celebration of International Translation Day, the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication held a two-day event titled “Improving Translators’ Skills with the Help of Artificial Intelligence.”

On the first day, a professional competition was held for 1st–4th year students majoring in Translation and Translation Studies. Participants practiced both theoretical and practical skills.

On the second day, an international scientific and practical conference took place. It was attended by scholars from the United States, France, Kazakhstan (Nazarbayev University), Russia (Moscow State University), Uzbekistan (Namangan State University), and several leading universities of Kyrgyzstan. The plenary sessions featured presentations and discussions on artificial intelligence, multilingualism, and the impact of technology on the field of translation.

The event was organized by the Department of American Studies and Translation Studies of the Institute.
