Today, May 30, Osh State University is hosting the “Youth Startups EXPO - 2025,” a major event organized by “Enactus Kyrgyzstan.”
Over the course of two days, more than twenty “Enactus” teams from across Kyrgyzstan will showcase their projects in areas such as social entrepreneurship, ecology, digital innovation, and sustainable development. The event has brought together over a hundred participants, including representatives from government ministries, international organizations, business leaders, educators, and students.
The competition format includes a preliminary stage where teams are divided into four leagues. They will first present their startup ideas, after which the top performers will advance to the semifinals. The four best teams will then compete in the final round. The champion will earn the right to represent Kyrgyzstan at the World Championship in Thailand.
Osh State University's “Enactus” team is participating with three projects: “Eco Pipes,” “Gface,” and “GFingers.” “Eco Pipes” focuses on environmental issues, while “Gface” and “GFingers” are AI-based initiatives designed to support individuals with disabilities.
Founded in 1998, the Osh State University team has a long and successful history. It welcomes new student members each year and has developed around 100 business projects to date. The team has previously won the Central Asian championship, claimed the national title twice, and was runner-up seven times. It has also represented Kyrgyzstan at the World Cup events in Beijing, China, and Toronto, Canada.
