From February 15 to 23, a delegation from Osh State University, led by Vice-Rector for External Relations Kursant Attokurov, took part in the scientific week at the University of Poitiers, France.
The event brought together representatives from Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Bulgaria to discuss the evolving role of universities in modern education.
During the panel sessions, the OshSU delegation presented thematic reports. Kursant Attokurov, in his speech on “Education for All,” emphasized the university’s educational opportunities, joint programs, and approaches to distance, electronic, and inclusive learning.
Saikal Ibraimova highlighted the significance of academic mobility and the role of internationalization in education, while Ravshan Uraimov delivered a presentation titled “Digital University: Current State and Future,” focusing on the impact of digitalization and information technology on the modern educational landscape.
Bakyt Omorkulov spoke about “The Transformation of Osh State University in Response to Modern Challenges,” addressing the university’s strategic adaptations.
Additionally, the delegation met with the University of Poitiers’ Vice President for International Relations, Stefan Motte, to explore avenues for expanding cooperation, including the development of dual-degree programs. French instructor Baktygul Zabaeva translated and delivered all presentations.
The delegation also toured the university campus, examined its infrastructure and educational facilities, and observed the student learning environment firsthand.
The scientific week was organized as part of the Erasmus+ program.
