On February 17, Osh State University hosted an international scientific seminar dedicated to the legacy of poets Alisher Navoi and Zakhridin Muhammad Babur. The event brought together the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Osh, Zafarbek Akhmedov, along with scholars, educators, and students from universities in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The seminar featured academic presentations on various aspects of Alisher Navoi’s life, including the characteristics of his poetry, his philosophical views, and the pedagogical value of his proverbs. Additionally, discussions highlighted the remarkable leadership qualities of Zakhridin Muhammad Babur, not only as a scholar but also as a statesman. Participants emphasized the lasting spiritual and intellectual contributions of these prominent Turkic thinkers and underscored the importance of continued research in this field.
Organized by the Center for Uzbek Language, Literature, and Culture at Osh State University, the seminar aimed to foster collaboration with educational institutions in neighboring countries, strengthen scientific and literary connections, and promote academic research. It also sought to instill spiritual and moral values in students.
