Information Session on Cyber Fraud Prevention Held at OshSU

An awareness and prevention event on cyber fraud protection was held for staff and students of Osh State University. Representatives of the city police cybercrime unit, Eldik Bank, Dos-Credobank, and Alfa Telecom participated in the session.

Experts presented common types of cyber fraud, including scams through messengers, misuse of personal data, SMS-code fraud, and illegal use of SIM and bank cards. Participants were also informed about ways to protect personal data and maintain cybersecurity.

At the end of the event, proposals were made to organize a lecture series titled “Cyber Fraud Today,” continue expert meetings, introduce cybersecurity basics into the curriculum, and create a cyber-volunteer movement.
