December 17, the Rector of Osh State University, Kudaiberdy Kozhobekov, took part in the forum titled “The Role of Higher Education in Implementing the ‘Üngüjol’ National Idea”, held at Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn in Bishkek.
The event was organized within the framework of President Sadyr Japarov’s decree “On the ‘Üngüjol – National Spirit, Global Heights’ Doctrine” and focused on discussing the role of higher education institutions in the country’s development. During the forum, Kudaiberdy Kozhobekov delivered a presentation highlighting the university’s scientific research, inter-university cooperation, and innovation-oriented activities in implementing the “Üngüjol” doctrine.
“In the context of the ‘Üngüjol’ national idea, inter-university scientific cooperation is becoming one of the key sources of national competitiveness in science and education today. The ‘Üngüjol’ national idea emphasizes the need to move forward through knowledge, unity, innovation, and responsibility. Under these conditions, our universities must become generators of scientific solutions, platforms for integrating talent, drivers of digital and economic transformation, and centers of social stability and cultural identity,” he noted.
The forum was attended by State Secretary Arslan Koichiev, rectors of higher education institutions across the country, and representatives of the scientific community. Koichiev described “Üngüjol” as a key ideological direction aimed at the country’s long-term development and called on universities not only to educate young people but also to instill national values.
The forum was aimed at strengthening coordinated efforts in the higher education sector and enhancing the role of science and education in implementing national ideology.
