OshSU Discusses Research Cooperation with the University of Massachusetts
On October 30, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Osh State University Zamirbek Bozhonov held an online meeting with Professor Myunghoon Ro of the University of Massachusetts, USA.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Institute of History and Law Jyldyz Aitbaeva, Professors Jamilya Asanbekova and Amanay Akmatova, and Director of the Department of International Relations Ainura Ozgonova.
The parties discussed the development of international research cooperation, conducting joint studies, and publishing academic articles in international journals. They also exchanged views on expanding academic mobility and involving foreign experts in research and academic activities.
In addition, they explored opportunities to apply criminology, crime prevention, and institutional anomie theory to the study of contemporary social and legal issues in Kyrgyzstan.
Following the meeting, both parties expressed their interest in developing long-term research cooperation and agreed to identify specific areas for collaboration.
