23 OshSU students to continue studies in Kazakhstan under dual-degree program
Nineteen bachelor’s and four master’s students will continue their studies at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan under a dual-degree education program.
A farewell ceremony for the students was held at Osh State University on August 24. The event was attended by Kairibai Mukhtar Akhat uulu, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Osh, Vice-Rector Elzar Esharov, Director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Oljobai Shaimkulov, Director of the branch of Eurasian National University at OshSU Ainura Naimanbai, program coordinators, parents, and students.
During the meeting, the importance of the dual-degree program in strengthening cooperation between the two universities was highlighted. The program enables students to study in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan and earn two diplomas.
Currently, Osh State University and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University have agreements on four bachelor’s and two master’s dual-degree programs. A total of 104 students are currently enrolled. In addition, 15 students successfully completed their studies during the 2025–2026 academic year. Six of them studied Russian, while nine specialized in English. Six of the graduates received diplomas with distinction.
