Osh State University Presented Projects to the Mayor’s Office

Osh State University presented a number of projects aimed at the socio-economic development of the city of Osh to the Mayor’s Office.

Today, on February 3, during a meeting with city authorities, lecturers of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Information Technologies, together with students, presented the “Digital Osh” project. According to the Institute’s Director, Bektur Azimov, the project includes six key areas for the digitalization of the city. They are:

  • “Smart Transport Osh”;

  • “Digital Osh Bazaar”;

  • “Smart Traffic Lights”;

  • Digital 112 system;

  • Mobile application for patients;

  • Unified city card.

Azimov emphasized that if the project is implemented, the university is ready to take long-term responsibility and guarantee the high-quality execution of the work.

In addition, a project titled “Ensuring Epizootic Safety in the Territory of Osh City and Developing Breeding Activities in Livestock Farming,” developed by Professor Abdugany Abdurasulov of the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism and Agricultural Technologies, was also presented.

The meeting was attended by Rector Kudayberdi Kojobekov, Deputy Mayor of Osh Nurlan Zakirov, Head of the Social Development Department Khanbiyke Asanova, and heads of relevant departments. The Rector spoke about OshSU’s contribution to the city’s socio-economic development and noted the university’s readiness for further comprehensive cooperation.
